Dear Curtiss-Wright Historical Assoc. Board Members,
My
thanks again for Kent Lentz meeting with me in regard to this proposed project. I have attached an outline of the other titles I am working on. PROJECT: TOMAHAWK is a benefit project to help underwrite the
restoration of your plane at Zamperini Field.
My projects are soley developed by myself. I am trying to create books that my children will read to their children. Because of the research and artwork
required they are obviously labor intensive. I can only complete one book every year. PROJECT: TOMAHAWK is designed to be available Christmas of this year. I was hoping to begin on Crag Breedlove's story
last year, but they have had some setbacks and are now 2 years out from their next record attempt. I am very honored to begin your story next.
As I have discussed with Kent in person, my goal is
to package as best I can, our generation's unique experience of living role models. Heroes from a time that required no special effects, cartoons or computer animation. I want my children to share what it
was like to meet the actual Masked Man. Not a studio stand-in, not a celebrity look-a-like. A real life Hero made of "FLESH & BLOOD." I want them to sit in the cockpit of an authentic War Hawk
that our skies will never see again. I want them to shake the hand of the only man to drive a car over 800 miles per hour...
My production costs will be paid for out of spot advertising pre-sold in
the book. In this way each book stands on it's own. The net production and inventory of this book shall belong to your group. An additional showing and auction of original art from the project is also
possible. The only thing I will retain are my copyrights. The resulting income from various fund-raisers and sales of the book should be substantial.
I am including a copy of my press kit biography,
another title I have worked on, some sample art etc.
It means a great deal to me, like the others who helped you get this far, to be a contributing member of your team.
