ome 40 odd years ago I left  LA to sell gags to the mags in NYC.  Tried to syndicate but wound up with a shelf full of "nice tries".  Started  doing cartoons for advertising which
led to doing caricatures.  Got tired of drawing
moving heads and switched to working from
photographs.  They don't move and they don't
talk back.  Still fooling around with doing panel
gags and strips.  I have a collection of toons
on my cartoon portrait site listed under Dukes-
toonies.  Check them out for a chuckle or so.
I'm an NCS member as well as the Berndt Toast Gang, a bunch of us off the wall guys
from Long Island.  Excelsior!
